hi all
my rear brakes squeak when i go over the slightest bump in the road ,i have put my hand on the calipers and they move up and down a bit ,is this normal?
do i need new ones ? with the car jacked up ,holding the caliper whilst banging the wheel the noise stops !
it's driving me nuts i can't stand squeaks and rattles please help

These cars are 10+ years old now,

Remove the rotor's clean the calipers, lubricate the slide bolts with 'RUBBER" grease only.

When refitting, put a smear of grease on the axle hub, (the round flange the rotor sits on) and re-assemble.
