Hi all,
I'm getting a vibration through the wheel of my EL at about 90km/h and beyond. I had an alignment, rotation and balance and it made it a little better but it's still happening. I'm suspecting a suspension issue as I hear a knock when I turn right or left. Even when I take off from a stop there is a slight knock as the weight comes off the front of the car. I just had new DBA rotors put in (she stops good now) and the mechanic checked it all out (so he said) and said there is nothing wrong or worn. I'm inclined to believe differently. Any clues as to where to start looking? |

check the steering rack mounting bolts, i had a small clunk noise in my ef and el and traced it down to that, loose bolts.

Yeah, will check the steering rack today - didn't think of that. May need to get the once over from a suspension place to make sure

So I checked the steering rack today and everything all nice and tight.
The suspension bushes all looked ok to my eye (but I'm no expert) and everything looked as it should. Are there any bushes prone to wearing more quickly than others? Any bolts that are prone to rattling loose? |

could be worn ball joints on the rack ends
