is there any differance using a EL master cylinder [with cruise] on a EB [without cruise] ? have a stock EL GL with a stock EB GL centre point. can the mater cylinder be swapped onto the EB booster? maybe even use the EL brake lines?

Hydraulically, if they are the same body type, that'll be okay.
Physically, mounting studs are different distances, so you'd need to swap boosters too. I think the line fittings will screw up okay. I take it you have a leaky unit to replace, otherwise there's not a lot to gain.
