hay guys

i have a 97 futura with a stage 2 transmission

i dont know what ratios it is running...(how do i find this out)
it is 4speed

anyways

i am finding that when i "floor" it that the car doesnt like changing gear on its own.

its been to as high as 5500 rpm before i take my foot out and let it change gear.

i am worried that their is something wrong with the trans bcoz it doent change gear until 5-6 thousand revs on its own. I am to scared to push it any further so i always take my foot out to let it change

now i have never driven a manual so i dont know what speed i should b changing gears at or what is the ideal RPM to be changing at.

is my gearbox f**k? is their anything i can do to fix it? is this normal?

am i supposed to take my foot off to let it change and if so what speed and rpm would be ideal...

i had similar problems then i changed my speedo gear and mechanisome and it drives much better so i think that it must tell it at what speed it should change, give it a shot
