hi my bro has a el waggon and we need to change the shock absorbers all round! just wondering how top take off the old ones we cant get the spring compressers in there is it safe to take off the top 3 nuts and get the whole thing out? :?

you take the whole strut out of the front. then you put the spring compressor on the spring to take it off the strut to fit to the new ones

for the fronts this is what i do

1. jack up the and lower car onto a jack stand
2. remove wheel
3. undo shock absorber shaft bolt in engine bay
4. undo any brake line mounting points on strut body
5. remove brake caliper and tie up with peice of rope out of the way
6. undo sway bar pin
7. under strut bolt at bottom
8. undo the 3 nuts that bolt the strut hat in engine bay
9. push down on brake rotor with foot and remove strut

if you can follow that you should know how to put it back on LOL

haven't done e series sedan rear so i can't comment.....sorry

then compress spring with spring compessor but make sure the spring compresses evenly

have fun and be careful cause a compressed spring is a dangerous item when it's off a strut and not contained, hope this helps
