Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask but could anyone give me a quick run down on the steps to take the old diff out? Or is it possible to just change over the diff gears into the old diff

Replacing diff gears without removing the diff is possible. Refer to {DESCRIPTION}

To remove the diff, you will need to remove the wheels, brake line, park brake cable, tailshaft, shocks, springs, trailing arms and panhard rod. I may have missed something but that's all that comes to mind. I have never removed on myself, but looked into it when I was going to replace the whole unit.

Do you know if the rotors, brake calipers and handbrake cable all the same cause I'm planning to just swap out everything off the old diff while I have it out onto the new diff

Update, diff is all in but I forgot to put the sway bar in position first until everything was bolted on, I'm having trouble stopping the sway bar link pins from spinning when trying to take off, is there a trick to getting them off?

There is a flat section in the middle section. Put a shifter onto that.

Is there anyway of telling the original markings of the tail shaft to diff alignment my old tail shaft has a marking but the new diff does not, or is it just a game of unbolt, turn, bolt and test drive?
