I heard they were $800 each for just the spindles. And it's unlikely Ford still have them now.

I'm *guessing* with the slight changes made to suspension between EF and EL they'd bolt up alright to an EL, but not an EF.

I don't have ABS in the ute ... so there's no problem for me ... LOL
Damn ... so it might be close for me to get the big brakes ... woo hoo.

Interesting fuzzy - one question with all these big brake kits though - has anyone thought of changing the master cylinder to accommodate for bigger pistons in the calipers ?

One thing I think most ELGT/FBT owners can vouch for is the long brake pedal feel - and this is only with twin piston calipers...putting 4 pot - surely this would have an impact ?

I am wanting to play around with BA booster (metal AFAICT?) with accommodating master cylinder to see if it can be adapted to my EL with said ELGT/FBT brake setup.

- Steve

I know a few weeks back when I was talking to Brendan Mock he mentioned a brake upgrade he did was using the either cebco or EL GT 2 pot setup for the EFs but with the AU master brake cylinder which he said mate quite an improvement...never pursued it anymore than that tho

Steve, if you ever have success with upgrading your booster or find a way to make the pedal travel not so noticable gimme a hoi; thats the only thing i can fault with the brakes, the pedal travel is pretty long i rekon, fluid is fine, its just how they are..

Cheers - Any ideas on how much itd cost to swap; easy job?
