If faulty will my Electronic Transission Controller cause my Eb V8 4sp 95LE to go into LHM when ever it wants to. Dosen't matter if warmed up or cold. sometimes turn me car off then straight back on it's reset itself, Or your just cruise'n along bang locks in 3rd. Then sometimes just stay's locked up in 3rd. I disconnect battery terminal and sometimes it works and sometimes well F**K me it's driving me crazy :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: :?

I noted you have this in 2 threads - you only need one.

Either you have a loose connection at the back of the engine (Round plug, goes to gearbox) - or the trans position sensor on the side of the trans is full of gunk/oil/is old and cant tell the ECU the correct gear position. The Trans position sensor (Trans Range sensor) is most likely your culprit.

When the problem is resolved it will just work next time you start the car. No need to remove the battery
