yes its ok to mix with other petrol.
yes it will run fine, but it may use a touch more compared to regular unleaded. |

DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT EVER. I had a quarter tank, put $20 of e10 in, car had NO power, couldnt even do a skid, s**t idle, and worst of all she started pinging, and hasnt stopped, even tho ive been running premium since, and octane booster. SO s**t. my fiencees neighbour put e10 in his corolla and it wouldnt idle and missed like a b**ch. its made out of sugarcane ffs. id rather eat it the run my car on it. |

Appantly, so ive heard, E10 has a higher octane level than regular unleaded . . . Perhaps thats the reason for your NC feeling as though it has more power . . . fairmontghiaeb - This thread may answer some of your questions regarding E10 - its a thread about the government getting rid of regular unleaded but I asked a couple of questions about the damage E10 does to your engine . . . page 2 I think . . . off-topic-f6/government-removing-unleaded-petrol-july-2011-t88070-20.html Cheers Grant |

cool ill have a look at the thread, hopefully it will clear up weather its ok, i think i heard something about it wearing seals or rubber parts faster and seeing as my car is getting on thats the last thing it needs,
also i figured that if i fill it with 98 one week and use half and top it up with either e10 or 91 it will say be running at 95-96 octane which i figure is ok, hmmm maybe not, |

shell e10 is 94octane and has good aditives
CSR is the good stuff and is very cheap from united e10 is 95 octane bp is 91 mobil refuse to tell u the octane rating but at a guess its 91 most standard unleaded is 92-94 premium 94-98 moral of the story is use shell or united or stay away from e10 and it is a good idea to run the same octane All the time |

Ethanol fuels are fine. I've been using 98ron E10, 100ron E10 & E85 fuels for the last year without any issues.
Comsumption isn't even that bad. Maybe 20kms less a tank. Mind you I have had the car tuned for each fuel.

Been using United's ethanol blends in my '91 EB XR8 for about 3yrs now and never had an issue with it. Started out running the "Boost" 98RON but they stopped selling it here a few months back so now run the regular 95RON.
Ran a tank of BP Ultimate through her a few weeks back (was feeling rich that week) and the only difference I noticed was I got around 30km further out of the tank, that was more likely due to more highway km's than usual though. The only thing I've noticed over the 3yrs that I'm not happy with is the price. Started out with the 95RON being $0.05/L cheaper than regular unleaded and it has gradually increased to the point now that they're the same price.

Mind you I have had the car tuned for each fuel. Im the same as Trav. I have a blend of E85 and BP Ultimate, about a 40/60 mix. Tuned for this mix too. No issues. I personally wouldnt run ethanol fuel in stock cars unless its either tuned for it or has it written in your cars manual that u can.
