I've recently purchased a T5 Conversion for my AU, which i'll be fitting, im keeping the original clutch for the first 3 months until I get use to driving a manual again, after that i'll be looking for a HD Clutch.

I want something that's going to take a fair bit of abuse, However it is my daily driver, It won't be uncommon for the clutch to drop at 5k , car will only be around 185rwkw when it's finished so power isn't a massive problem, although it's definatly going to have a hard time.

What clutches do you recommend?

I'd be more concerned about the T5 with 5k clutch drops.

I've had a Clutch Indsutries HD, and an Exedy HD. The exedy was a touch lighter under foot.
Haven't noticed any other differences/benefits.

Any suggestions to ease the pain on the T5? or maybe opt for a different box

Yeah, don't drop the clutch at 5k rpm. :D

What do you want to use the car for?

Daily driving, occasional drop at 3500 or so when im going to race someone, but would like something that could take the abuse if I decide to throw it around and burn some rubber.

I would recommend a cushioned ceramic for hard driving. They love being dropped, but don't like being slipped, so long as you can drive like that. It won't die, but your T5 may not like you. Mine has help up to it for two years though, with 19's on the car. A little bit less power, around the 170rwkw mark, but close enough
