yeah mate king springs do do the springsfor the V8 NL's, but u dont want to put them in, s**t spring IMO.
If your going to lower, go something a little better, pedders or whitleine. little more exspensive, but much better ride and quality. I am in the process now of deciding between pedders and whiteline, but i have been told that pedders is the way togo with the LWB. so prob leaning more towards them. And the superlows will drop u about 50mm from original ride hieght. Hope that helps mate.

any help or advice welcome. Does it still have the SLS installed in the back. If so, you can just adjust the link that monitors the height and that will bring it down quickly and cheaply for you. ie $0 cost If you want king superlows, then get them. Repco are F**k tools, and their catalogue is worse most of the time. Considering its the same a** end as any e-series, Falcon superlows will sit in just fine and dandy. If the car still has SLS as well, you will have to change the shock as well. |

I never said that adjusting the arm would do any good. Just that it was a really cheap way of lowering the car. I've done it with success on mums NL, dropped it by about 10/15mm with no negative affects. And it also is a better option than pulling the SLS breaker out and letting it ride on the bump stops, like most people do. 2. Whiteline and Pedders dont list any products that would drop the back suspension the distance SDFGH_54 is looking for. And I believe that a number of FM members have run Fairlanes with King Superlows quite successfuly for a few years now. While I agree that NL's do carry a few extra kg, you can't dispute that S/L's have been used successfully on NF/NL Fairlanes before. |

Pull your head in, wasn't having a go.
Pedders does list lows for a Fairlane although the part numbers are the same for the Falcon. If SDFGH_54 has standard height now, using sports Ryder springs will lower him 2" or 5cm (whatever you prefer). part number rears: 2130R Sports Ryder Coil Spring RH 2130L Sports Ryder Coil Spring LH 2180R Sports Ryder Coil Spring RH 2180L Sports Ryder Coil Spring LH part number front: 2270 Sports Ryder Coil Spring Quote: dropped it by about 10/15mm with no negative affects.
You would find the ride to be different, not as firm because the shocks are softer and not at the pressure they are ment to be.

hey all, thanks for the replys
i have removed the SLS and replaced with HD shock's (the sls was leaking somewhere and thawt it was easier to replace with shocks) i rang king springs and they said that the ED - EL XR8 springs would fit fine KFFL-52SL (front) & KFRL-27SLHD (rear) that was 155$ a pair i also rang pedders and they didnt give me a measurement of drop but they did give a price for the sports ryder front was 164$ and rear 180$ a pair if what concorde said was true about the 5cm drop ill be happy with that from the pedders, lots of people have complained about king springs, i have used them on 2 previous cars and didnt see or feel any problems but they were light jap cars. my decision is the pedders..... Thanks everyone ill post some photo's when its done

That King Spring price is rec retail.
Normally can be bought for $85 to $120 depending where you go. $85 is the trade figure from Burson or Repco. |
