I have read that the fairlane stock suspension is quite squeaky once it gets on in years, and yes mine makes a bit of noise.

But why is thos so, it doesnt seem to do it in non-fairlane models, but from what i have seen on a few sites is that they are notorious for this.

if someone could explain, it would be good, just wanna why it does it.

Not going to bother me a great deal, as i am getting new suspension setup very shortly, but yeah just wanna know.

cheers

BEN

couldnt tell you,but mine has a squeak up near the shock rubbers when i apply the brakes and a sort-of wierd scrunching sound going over speed humps.I think its a lack of grease between the rubbers causing it to squeak and scrunch, can be annoying but nothing a few $$$ cant fix.

Just the extra weight of the old fairys does it , and puts extra stress on the rubbers.

There is a guy on ebay that does the super low king srings and shockers for our beloved NC Fairy / LTDs and he only charges $590 for the whole set.

Definitely a good investment !
