Getting rid of my stock 13 year old shock absorber struts in my Falcon AU series 1 and I can get a good deal on a pair of AU fairlane struts and I would like to know if they fit before I can do anything else.

They will fit but if the Fairlane was a series II or III the strut will look a little different, they have a bracket to hold the brake hose on IIs and IIIs. Are the front springs you have now lowered? if so you may work the Fairlane ones a little hard.
