I have a syncro gone in 1st gear in a 6cyl TE cortina single rail, and I would like to know if it is an easy swap to just change exstension housing over onto a falcon single rail. I have not removed the one out of cortina to have a look but the only part I think should be different other than exstension housing is maybe the slide rail from out of falcon box back to shifter may be longer and need to be changed as well. Only think this because I know Cortina shifter sits further forward than Falcon. I have a couple spare single rails so if it is an easy swap it would be cheaper for me than having box pulled apart to replace syncro and quicker I would think. If anyone has done this please let me know your thoughts.
