hey guys, currently my g6e has stock brakes front and back which im looking to upgrade. are brembos really worth the extra money? have found a nice brembo kit from a fg fpv for the front, is it ok to run brembo fronts and stock g6e rears? i have heard of clearance issues with certain rims, what should i be checking for to ensure they will fit before buying?

Yes Brembo's are great and running them in front only should not be a problem, most 18" rims will handle having Brembo's inside them.
355mm front rotors sure make a difference but remember, brake pads are MUCH dearer than normal ones. I am guessing these will be the 4 pot kind? |

Do you have 18inch rims or 19's? If i recall correctly there is only the 3 FPV rims in 19' that fit the brembos and the G6E 19's wont fit them.

cheers george. yes 4 pot brembos. i expected pads would be more, but the set ive got my eye on comes with some decent pads. will be checking pad replacement price before going ahead with it anyway.
doddea i have aftermarket 19's, xhp shorelines to be precise. |

Ah ok... cool. Id just double check that they fit first, lots of people have issues with the Brembo's on the FG's.
