Hey guys!
In have a 97 XH XR6 ute and am just wondering how I can reinforce the firewall so it doesn't crack? Its been welded before but I want to fix it permantly before it starts to crack again!! What's the best way to do this? And the clutch feels really heavy.. I'm just wondering if there is any way of adjusting it to make it a bit lighter?? Any help will be greatly appreciated! Cheers Jesse! |

I made one using TROYMAN'S tech doco. (search...)
Here's mine: http://www.fordmods.com/the-garage-f53/ev-s-xr6-5-speed-t99478-300.html down the page a bit...

So a piece of flat steel, some pipe and a washer welded on the end of the plate and all ground back to look nice??
Doesn't sound too hard, do you pull the cable off?? |

Slacken the tension off and disconnect it from the pedal under the dash.

I've seen a post recently about some mob in NZ who sell a firewall plate kit. And there's also a very decent looking pedal box pin setup available that includes a nice big spreader plate.
