Who here has fitted a AUII Brake booster to an EF/EL?

I have made up a drilling template and have drilled the holes in the test car but find that the booster is hitting the upper part of the firewall and will not bed against the firewall.

I have dressed the firewall to allow closer fitting but I have still had to space out the booster by 13mm.

Who else has had this issue and how did you get around it?

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

First I thought of as well, but not easy to get hold of at the moment.

here is a pic of where my au2 booster fouled on the au1 firewal..
Image

here is the au2 firewall
Image

i had to take to that small area with a hammer..
i originally had a spacer to keep the booster straight but it droped the pedal down to much making it feel weired to drive,,,

its odd that a car with the same body shape and structure had so much difference in the firewall...

There were a lot of changes in the AU2 from the AU1.
The firewall was one of them, and it's a laminated steel unit in the AU2...which makes it really hard to weld to.....they did for the lower NVH.
