the abs light has nothing to do with the fluid level,
check that all the wheel sensors are pluged in, and pull the sensors out and clean them. as they are magnetic sensors they get alot of fine metal and dust build up over time.. |

If it was a sensor would it still be ok to drive?
I need to take it out to a friends house(he has all my tools at the moment) which is about a 30 minute drive away. Anyone know what I would be roughly looking at to replace this sensor? I would ring the wreckers here but no where is open on the weekends. |

its fine to drive... when the abs fails, the system operates as per non abs brakes..

hmm still undecided about whether to drive it basing it off that... ed brakes aren't the best with abs let alone without it

abs only works when the wheels lock
ie under HARD braking applications = emergency so for evey day driving u will be fine the brakes will work as normal the only thing is be aware that if an emergency situation arises and u need to brake HARD the abs will not function correctly or at all, the car brakes still work
