You don't say what particular flywheel you have, but the wheel of a 5.0L is balanced differently to the one required on the clevelands. The later motors had more counter weight.

The bellhousing bolt pattern should be the same, if you have the windsor bellhousing and not the modular motor. (Which I assume you have because you mention AU).

Thanks for your reply.Flywheel is 5.0 Windsor. Do I need a cleavland flywheel and why? What would happen if I fitted this one?

Is it 5.0L windsor(HO, from an EFI Falcon) or it is 302W ??? Big difference.

If you fit the wrong flywheel to a motor it will shake itself to s**t and maybe even break the crank. Unless you are 100% sure, don't fit this to a motor.

Don't confuse a V8 rumble with bad vibration. I was sold the wrong flywheel and it was quite obvious something was wrong. I shut it straight down and bought the proper flywheel.
