Hey guys this is my story....
i have had ultralow springs in since i had the car... pretty much it started to annoy me to the point of me getting some new king lows and some nice monroe shockies.... and on one fine day just coming back from getting some parts for my car there was a nice little officer who pulled me over. done the normal random breth test..... then he asked me to get out the car.... next thing i know BAM! defect sticker on my windscreen! it was bound to happen... well this is just a little warning for thoes who are wishing to lower there car! here are some picks of the hard work to put new springs in! Attachment: The sticker only all to many of us know! Attachment: What the car looked like with ultralows Attachment: Hard work starts Attachment: Old springs! Attachment: this is all i could do today with my limmited time! should be all done by tomorrow then comes the booking! more will be up 2morrow! so if any one who thinks they can get away with it, you might for the first few months.... (for me it was 2yrs before they picked up on it) but they will get ya! i was just lucky they didnt make my put my whole car back to stock. that would have killed me! |

yeah i got super lows in the front, and the extractors are no s**t 70mm of the ground.. needless to say i'm picking up some lows this friday.. scrapes on everything, and can't even give it a bootfull in first and second coz the tail shaft nails the floor something fierce... the joys of looking good..

in nsw the centre hub to guard is minimum of 345mm while keeping 100mm of ground clearence..
my car got knocked back on engineering because my rear lows were 15mm to low.. that was with subs and a full tank of fuel... |

yeah i was measured from center wheel cap to gard.... wasnt too happy about it just as i got the new springs and shocks too . but i got the lows all in now so just need to get it checked!
here are some pics! Attachment: the fronts are in and done! Attachment: The old rears.. Attachment: the new rears are all done and in Attachment: everything finished! im pretty happy with the result. almost looks stock, ill have to wait and see if it settles down anymore by tomorrow. and just need to check all bolts are tight while its on the ground. so this is the story of my defect sticker. just a notice to anyone who wants to lower there car, i learnt the hard way! |
