The centre is the same in the EL and AU apparently... was just talking to Harrop today and spoke to them about modifying the centre from 28 spline to 31 spline. I want to do this and get a set of 31 spline billet axles as well to make this a pretty stout borgy. I think this will handle anything I can throw at it.

yep, I have an EB open centre hemisphere with a 4wd Systems Lokka in my AU IRS. Speak to QPAAC (QLD Performance Axles and Centres) Rollin on boostedfalcon got his side gears resplined to 31spline and billet axles made up to suit an AU diff for about $1100. He threw enough s**t at it to bend the rod on cyl 1 (I6T ED - 317rwkw) and the diff copped it without a second thought.

Heres one for ya,
I rang G+J Diffs in Vic yesterday to get a price on 31 spline centres and 31 spline billet axles. All up cause he will supply a housing it came in at $2300 plus postage to Sydney, and for $200 more he said he could build me a 9" to fit. I wanted to keep it borgy but for that price i really dont know what to do.
31 pline billet axles were $800
Brett

Brett, is that retaining the ABS with those axles? I've been quoted 1250 for the billet axles, retaining abs. It might pay to give these guys a call then...

Thanks Brett. Does the AU diff fit straight in? I would like the brake upgrade as well, as I'll have EL GT brakes up front next weekend. If the AU diff goes in, then that'll mean AU offset on the back end huh? I'll probably give him a call on Monday. Thanks again.

I just ordered the 31 spline truetrac centre today and spoke to Joe at G&J Diffs about the axles. They've quoted me $900 delivered with whatever needs to be done to retain ABS, so I'll be ordering them early next week. Hopefully it should all be here in a couple of weeks and hopefully my diff holds out til then.

wholagan - I ordered the truetrac from Harrop, but when I called G&J to order the axles, they reckon they could have done them cheaper, but turns out it would have been the same. The centre is $1540... plus a bit more for the respline.

Brett - Definately worth the call. Thanks for the tip. The money I saved there will almost cover the install.
