Hi I've got a 2004 ba xr6 sedan needing rear drive shafts replaced due to clunking upon accelereation ..just wondering has anyone removed these before and used second hands and they've been good or bought new ones and cost of replacement ?... As my car is getting a full respray due to a mole keying the car..I figured I'd get ontopof things. I'm pretty mechanically minded and do %90 my own work on the car unless it's to do with diffs so I'd be up for replacing these myself if some info can be supplied. Thx.

you can usually get them rebuilt, new uni's and centre bearing, but maybe its not worth it due to cost of parts and labor?

well in that case just throw them and buy brand new constant velocity shafts.

Mine make a bit of a click every now and then, usually with heavy acceleration or manual downshifting.
Until they go click click click they can be put up with.. Also... Thread moved to the more appropriate forum
