hi,
iv been doing some reading about controlling the btr 4spd s1/s2 solenoids for "manualized" shifting via paddle shifts. what i've gathered so far is that 1st gear is s1/s2, 2nd gear is s2, 3rd gear is null and 4th gear is s1. im going to program it on an arduino for easy programming but i was just looking for some reinforcement on my setup. so bare with me here! i'm wanting to put a magnet on my shifter so when it clicks into 3rd gear it activates a hall effect sensor to tell the arduino to disconnect the s1/s2 solenoids from the ecu and reroute it to the arduino for the manual shifts via the paddle shifts. the code is not the problem im going to have its the fact that im not 100% sure if all i need to do is control the s1/s2 solenoids and nothing else, if so it will be really easy. the other thing is that when the arduino disconnects the solenoids from the ecu do i have to attach load resistors to fool it so it doesnt go into LHM or will i be ok? i understand if some people read this and are like wtf! its just i can understand what im typing but for me its hard to say. cheers
