my mate bought an old ltd limo a while ago just for s**t n gigs and its got rims but sits rediculously high, so i was just wondering does it have different springs to a normal falcon because of the extra weight or will it be the same, we were thinking about getting king springs for it

I'd imagine they'd have some HD springs or something, maybe try some stockers first, especially in the back since its pretty easy.
see if it makes a difference, then look at lows/superlows.

I have some spare ef stock springs mite try them, it does sit higher than stock for a reason so I guessif we lower it too much it will hate driveways, I want him to put ef ghia leather seats in it haha

I agree, try stock ones in the rear and see how it sits. Bit of extra weight compared to an ordinary LTD. :P

They are raised so they can still get over driveways, speed humps etc. King actually make limousine specific HD springs for these.

LWB cars are bad enough lowered, don't go too nuts. It will get beached on a speed hump!

I had my NF probably 70mm off the ground, was a PITA!

air bags or air shocks...

they came factory with air shocks, installed as self leveling suspension.

normally the SLS setups have really soft springs, they rely on the shock to do the lifting.
so just swapping springs over may not net any lowerage if thats the case.

I wouldn't be in too much of a hurry to get the engine mods done.
its heavy, i'd just keep it cruisy and efficient.

no one wants to hear exhaust sound in a limo :P
