yeah mate, its actually the silver rod that runs along side your head on the right. should be about an inch think and shiny. either cut it with a hacksaw, or snap it with a chisel. Kinda looks like a small curtain rod. Helps pressurise the intake, but you will get worse economy. its why its there. to help economy at the cost of powa.

happy modding :D

That sounds suspiciously like you are talking about the fuel rail...... I hope you aren't tho.....

ha ha ha, this gave me a laugh

and to the original question, the vp-vr commos had a restrictor in the intake, just before the throttle body. i think this is what you are thinking of. the fords dont have anthing like that in them.

expect those ebay power chips seem to go pretty good though!

The ebay resistor... do not waste your time/money champ. There is about 100 topics on this forum about those as it seems like cheap power. We all love to take the piss when this question is asked. Just dont waste ya money on it, buy a KNN filter instead and call it a day.

the restrictor you are talkig about is onm vp commodore onwards early vns did not come out with them and they had to much throttal responce which was causing people to crash belive it or not so when they made the vps they put that restrictor between the throttale body and the air intake
hope this helps

You could try pouring some sand into the intake.. You'll have to do it between the air filter and the throttle body. Same idea as using sandpaper to port out the intake, that should give you a bit more room again ;)
