The diff has been changed from a 3.25 to a 3.89 and the speedo is out by about 15kmh at 100kmh. I have heard that speedo gears are rated by colour? If so, it is currenly pink.

Its the 5.8l, 4 speed single rail manual.

Sorry this is not about ur subject but i'm trying to find out the official ford name/code for the blue used on the XC COBRA's.

With me old XC ute, the speedo gear got stripped, pulled it out, went to Tilford Spare Parts (local Ford Dealer), guy took it and came back with one off an XF or something. Different colour (this was over a year ago, so might have my colours wrong), but our old one was yellow and new one brown. We checked the sizes and amount of teath, identical, just different colours, and it worked. So you might wnat to take it in and see if they can match it to a newer model one.

Sounds crazy but that is apparently what happened!
