Where the clutch cable goes into the firewall, in the engine bay, there should be thread on the outer of the cable and a nut on it stopping it pulling through the firewall. Wind the nut up and down the thread to adjust the pedeal height properly. The clutch friction point should be about 20mm - 30mm off the floor. The pedal will not line up with the brake pedal. If you adjust the friction point to hight off the floor you will wreck the pressure plate by over extending the throughout springs/diafram!

Easy way......grab the clutch cable under the bonnet near the firewall, pull it from the firewall, and adjust the nut so it is about 8mm from the tube where it goes into the firewall.
If the clutch still isn't right......did you put a new clutch in, or a second hand one??????? Did you get the flywheel machined???? Did you fit a spigot bearing into the crankshaft???? Did you do up the clutch cover bolts evenly ( 1 turn at a time )???????

new clutch, flywheel machined, and just adjusted it as per manual and the 8mm thing..the pedal is now 140mm from the floor, and the nut roughly 8mm on the cable..its like driving another car now, have to get used to it all over again
thanks guys |
