Im driving a 2006 bf ute. When i was driving today i corrected a park and put it in reverse when i tried to put it back into drive the gear stick felt like it just slipped there was no action and it's now stuck in reverse. i can try and change it as much as i want but there is no change. any thoughts as to what may have caused it?

If they are anything like the e series they have linkages running off the gearstick to the gearbox. It coulve come off or come loose.

I think on those boxes there is a cable from the shifter to the box under the car for the gear lever. It may have snapped or come off.

The cable 'ends' at the g'box end are known to become brittle and break.....seen it before.
