It's a Kenne Bell Boss 290 on NOS ;) Ye he's still got the black one but he hasn't been racing it for a while, Chris is building a proper engine for it :)

If its a Ba Turbo engine good luck. The time and money to do it has to be seriously put in question.

I've got a quick Question about gearboxes,
In terms of BF boxes in the XR6 Turbo, which is stronger the 6 spd auto or 6 Spd Manual.
What are their power/torque limits etc.
The car would see occasional track work, but rarely, just a bit of a cruiser with power.

pretty sure the T56 manual is stronger than a ZF, the T56 just requires a better clutch than factory supplied unit.
mind you the ZF will hold 350-380rwkw with just the addition of a transcooler, but people have broken them, more so than the T56's afaik.
i also reckon a manual would be better for a track car...

Both boxes are good, depends on how much power you're chasing really but I'd say a T56 would be better for track work but if it's drags you'll end up breaking more stuff so be prepared for that

Nah not into drags that much, more sideways stuff.
T56 sounds like the way to go though.
Then it'll be time to look into diff work, as they seem to be the next thing to go after the or before the gearbox.
