hey peoples
im currently in the process of changin my 3 speed auto box in the ea
i am up to undoing the tailshaft so far

but
i can only get to 2 bolts on the end of the shaft at the diff

How do i turn the shaft so i can access the other 2 bolts

please help

need to release the handbrake and put box in neutral then turn tailshaft to access other bolts then put handbrake back on again.

handbrake is off
and in neutral
but i stil lcant turn the bloody thing

i cant jack the rear up
the front is up on ramps
so i cant jack the rear


y is my shaft not turning
grrrr

are u serious,

sounds like u dont have a clue what u r doing...

there is no other way than to jack the rear up

actually i do no wat im doin
its jus got me stuffed with this shaft as its the first falcon i've ever had
i normally run a hsv


but have turned to fords
much sweeter an smoother cars
and i love em

and wat does it matter if the rear is jacked wat willthat do?

if the back wheels are off the ground then the wheels are free to spin. the best way to do it would be tak it off the ramps undo the shaft bolts than put it back on. hard workin gettin it back on the ramps though.

with the rear end up the wheels can spin freely meaning your tailshaft will turn.. it WILL NOT turn while the back wheels are on the ground

undoing lines nowan son take it out
