Driving my EF Xr6 last night when all of a sudden
Car was changing gears all over the show it was weird
Driving along the freeway with cruise set to 100
Then I stopped turned the car off re started and it was doing it again

Then it settled after that

Also noticed that after it settled I couldn’t shift down manually and then my heater stopped working ( which is probably unrelated)
Then the shift down came back

I doesn’t seem like it’s the gearbox its self as the gears all seem solid and not missing a gear eg: from 1st to 3rd mising 2nd etc when its normal all gears change smoothly more something electrical? Or computer?

cant help much, but does it shift down manually if you really ram it down into 1? selector could be worn..
