Hi all. I sent my EA in for a road worthy and a few things need fixing :(

1. All rear control arm bush's
2. Rear muffler
3. Rear shockers
4. R.H lower ball joint
5. R.H rackend
6. L.H.F caster bar rear bush

Im hoping to buy these parts and install myself to save on cost. Mechanic said about $800 for him to do it, but as always I cant afford that.
I have never done any of this before, so I am after any hints or tips on how to do them.
Also a rough guide to pricing would be nice as well.

forget DIY'ing the rear control arm bushes

A muffler shop should weld in a pipe to replace the rear muff for $30 cash.

RHD lower ball joint requires the spindle removal so you can press the ball joint out then in on a press.

You are better off buying Ureathane Castor bushes as a pair and both lower ball joints if you intend on keeping the car. You can smash out the old castor bushed with a lump hammer and some drifts/cheap sockets. Then take the spindles to a suspension shop and have them press the ball joints for you, it cost me $20 giving them full disassembled spindles.

Rear shocks are very straight foward to do once you fold down the back seat and expose the top shock nuts.

Most of the jobs would be better explained in a manual, either from your local library or purchased.
