just unsure about what diff ratio of an LSD i should be looking at getting into an EA 5 speed, Also can i change the centre of my diff to a later diff out of a EF,EL etc.

what ratio depends on what YOU will be using the car for .... an EA 5sp i bought had a 2.92 lsd. will be changing me diff to the later version [EB2] so i can fit lsd out of a later diff [think AU?] & it's just a 3.27. to fit the EF/EL just change diff & redo/remodel handbrake cables [depending on year the axles etc are not compatiable ie canna swap parts]. just remember that the higher the number ie 4.11:1 will get you up to speed faster than say a 2.92:1, BUT at highway speed your revs WILL be higher than the 2.92:1, so it's a bit of a tradeoff re diff ratio suitable
