G'day. After about 3 years of constant abuse from me my LSD isnt working so good anymore so ive bitten the bullet and decided to go to a Mini-spool. Now i know alot of you will say they are dangerous and i will break axles and what not but i dont wanna spend the $800+ to have my lsd recod and have it shagged again in 10000k's. As the car is primarily a weekend cruiser i cant see a spool being that much of an issue. So anyways i did some driving around today and got a few quotes and im Looking at around $400-$500 to have the mini spool fitted with new carrier bearings, seals and oil. Drive in drive out. Just wondering what perices other guys have paid?? I contemplated fitting it myself but i dont have the knowledge of Differentials and after doing the clutch and gearbox on the ground ive kinda lost interest.

do it oyurself dude all you have to do is take everyhting out and put it back the same, except for the yoke pull it apart there is like 8 or 10 bolts , take the spider gears out put the spool in the middle ( spool is a chunk of metal with spline in it for axle to fit in)
screw the yoke back together the same and put it back in the same as oyu took it out piss easy and a good 300 dollars cheaper

Yeh dude as sickd said save ya self the labour costs...aint too bad a job...use the money for more mods .. Price for the new centre and so on looks pretty spot on.

just depends mate a few guys on here have em and dont have any complaints after they got used to it ...and they still reverse park n so on now without any dramas.
