Is anyone having trouble with cables breaking when running a heavy duty clutch? today the bush pulled out and snapped my cable after about 5000km's..and its not even a heavy duty clutch according to PBR, although it was a very hard pedal..

Quite a few other things should normally break before the cable (firewall, pedal box or clevis), you either got a dud or something isnt right with your setup.

is the clevis is the bush that connects to the fork? if so i think thats what broke as it came out in the middle of the road, but im pretty sure the cable is stuffed aswell..the cable was less then 5000km's old..

the clevis is the u shaped bracket that connects the cable to the pedal..

the thing that goes on the fork is more of a rubber dampiner. the cable hooks onto this...
if the dampener has broken i would say your cable is still good...

i think you can still get the dampener thing from ford...
