I have a XL AU 1 ute, was just wondering if the leaf rear springs and the front springs are the same on a BA XR6 ute. Any help would be great. thanks

Sweet as, Cheers guys. Got another one for ya.
i found a lowering kit for a BA XR6. Front king springs (just low, think they call them, not super lows) n 2" blocks for the back. Now thats going to drop the front alot right? Any idea how high the front will be? Thinking that xr6's are already low. Now the 2" blocks aren't going to be enough to level the car, right? So should i go find some xr6 leafs n add the blocks or can i/ should i reset the springs to that extent. lol choices...

cheers for the help

reset the springs... the lowering blocks are for Jews... not only does the ute sit lower, but so does all the clearances for the under carriage, scrapes harder than Nicko with his hand in the nutella jar!

Reset = $200 max!

blocks = waste of money and you'll end up reseting in the end...

the rear leaf springs fit afaik.
u should be able to find a set of stock XR height springs on www.fordxr6turbo.com
i'm sure some of the perth blokes would have lowered their utes and may want to part with the stockers.
if not buy some front coils and have your rears reset. XR height is still legal...

Interesting reading, as I will be looking at doing this in the next year also, what is involved in resetting the springs?
