Hi all just to cut along story short parked car at the station went to work had a very s**t day but when i got back to my car some prick had try to steal it and doing so stuffed my igniton went to the wreckers and got a new key and barrel my questin is will it work with my old PATS UNIT and will the bem send the rite signals.or can i just leave the ignition turn on for a hour to let it all reset and what if the key hasnt been coded will it just code the key after that hour. :roll: oh and the car is a BA 2003 XT....

you need to have it towed to ford as they Smartshield can only be reprogrammed by ford themselves, not like smartlock

kool thanks for reply so i cant just leave it switched on for 1 hour and let everything reset itself.shonds like its gunna cost me s**t.does anyone know a price...
