help tranny gone into limp mode
after puting in a xr6 ecu then when i change it back it's still in limp mode ? wtf??? how long do you have to disconnet the batt ????

The new XR ECU an auto too?
Any error codes from the ECU? The ECU's forget instantly there's no battery in them to remember stuff.

taking the battery off for 30 secs should be plenty of time, did you sisconnect the earth when you changed the ECU's?

sure something stupid didn't happen like you've knocked loose some of the wires on the ECU loom?
Sounds like that may be the case if the old ECU didn't bring it back.

Your got a Tickford gas, why swap the ecu??.I would have thought that the XR ecu would not be suitable.

nar it's aftermarket gas
ok it's fixxed it turned out to be one of the wires on the shift kit broke when i was swaping ECU
