Well i just about have the EF diff out, and am wondering how to remove the handbrake cable. It is the last thing attached to the diff before I drop it. Looking at the AUII diff there seems to be some differences in the way the cable is mounted, but it shouldnt be too much of a problem to get it sorted.
Thanks in advance Brett

Bit late of a reply; first make sure the hand brake is not applied/not engaged. Then you have to pull it off at each end at each hub. After that, you have to detach it where it meets another cable that goes to the actual hand brake which is beneath/around the rear passenger door. From memory there is a little clip which you slide off, then you have to sorta pull the cable towards the front of the car, while you lift the little ball thing out of it's hole and out she is.
PS. If she is still too tight for you to take off, loosen the hand brake cable at the hand brake in the car with that nut that pokes out.

Cheers Sean, Well it is done and dusted, and what was really impressive is the AU diff fitted and lined up. If i didnt know better i would say they were the same diff. The AU diff has 3 upper control arm mounting holes so it appears i will be able to play with the pinion angle if need be, mind you it wasnt easy putting a diff in by yourself. Pics to follow but will be in my Build thread.
