Hi guys I brought a manual conversion for my ef. I was told it came out of a ed xr6. I checked the ecu code which is 0DDC. Which is for a ea 4spd auto and then checked the codes and on the box which are 13-52-065-908. Checked that and it is for a ford mustang/ capri v8. Theres and little star with 89, in it aswell. As I know very little about these i am asking if anyone knows for sure if this box is out of a ea for sure. As its going into my ef are the hox's any good from the ea, as Iv read there crap.
Help would be great before I call up the guy I brought it off and get my money back
Thanks Lee

going by what ive found online recently, a 13-52-065-908 main case, should be a world class box, which would mean its out of a late eb-onwards

I had a quick search and found the theres a little star with 89 on it which is ment to be the build year. It also has a hex bolt which is for world class box. Would it still be woth keeping the box as the car is standard but i am wanting to do a cam ect on it. Nothing to much?

it'll be the same box as an ef one. AFAIK they didnt change the t5 between eb-el. if your worried about it breaking, i had 154rwkw and it didnt worry mine, and im pretty sure there are a few more on this site running standard t5's with more power

T5's are alright if you don't thrash them all the time. I'm running 180rwkw with a standard clutch and it's doing alright but next stage of mods will really test it

There's a few minor changes - major one is fibre lining on 3rd and 4th gear synchro rings. The other rings are still all brass.
