As uniacidz said, read first. Also how are you going to do a full flush and service for $100.00. Do you know how to flush an Auto? Do you realise how much oil it takes to flush an Auto properly? and then you need to buy the filter as well. |

OK Bright Spark.
Trans fluid is at least $10.00 a litre. You will use at least 16-20 litres flushing the system, then you need to fill it properly, another 6 - 8 litres. I figure that is at least double your price and you don't even know where the fill plug is let alone how to flush it. P.S. The auto will only need flushing if the oil has a burnt smell or is dark. |

from dead empty my box took 14ltrs of oil to fill the converter the trans cooler box ect..
using normal castrol tq95 fluid, the fluid alone cost $140..with 2 ltres left for top up.. if your box currently has normal fluid and you want to flush it?.. if you want 100% synthetic fluid with no mix of mineral fluid your looking at around the $200- just in fluid.. |

Yea if that's the case I'll just do a normal service.
What I don't understand is when ya empty it using the bottom bolt how come the whole system doesn't come out? Only a third of it or something? To get it all out do i unbolt the oil pan? Then also change the filter ?? Hmmm

yea not all the fluid comes out as the torque converter holds about 1/3 of the fluid, then there is the fluid in your trans lines and cooler ect..

Thats why it is recommended to flush your Trans if the oil is burnt. When you drop the pan only around 60-70% is drained and as Troy said 30+% is left in the Torque Convertor.
If your oil is still a good colour and not too dark, just dropping the oil and changing the filter and refilling is ok. If you want to flush the oil out of your Tran cooler, just disonnect it and blow the oil out with compressed air. Put a rag over the outlet so it doesn't make too much mess. Don't use too higher pressure or you may have issues. |

Try to loosen the pan evenly as they can twist very easily. Undo the retaining clip and out comes the filter. Install is the reverse. When doing up the pan, make sure you do it in even adjustments and don't do it up too tight as you can pop the seal on the pan. |

Guys I need help with this one also.
Ok I have a Q about my car. When I drive in D mode, and just cruise along from a stand still, each time it changes gears, Example first interval is at 18 ks, second is about 37, third is around 58. From the 58 change to the 70 km Change,, if I accelerate a lil bit the car jolts about two times before it hit the 70 km change. It never used to do this. Very ennoying . Would it be the diff or the auto gear bOx? Perhaps the teeth are f**k in the gear box?? How can I fix this n how could I explain it to a mechanic?? Please help.
