Here's one for you: had what I thought was a problem in the front end. Every time I braked hard, I got a sharp "CLACK" from the front somewhere, and I could feel it through the floor.

Spent ages under the car looking for loose bits, checking the control arms and radius arms etc.

Nothing.

So, yesterday I got under again to have a look, and, much to my surprise, found a rock about the size of a squashed matchbox caught in the sub-frame under the drivers position.

Removed the rock, and, you guessed it, no more rattle

Only took me 6 months to find it.............................
