Hey guys looking into buying a 2500 Hi stall converter for my eb.
just wondering what the pros and cons are? obviously im after a better take off (damn thos commonwhore v6's!) and just wondering if they blow diffs or anything like that. Thanks! |

Hi there, I used to have a 2700rpm highstall in my I6 Fairlane, yes, better take of, and I could not find anything bad with it, when you just start of slowly i.e. in peak hour traffic, you would not even notice its there, its when you put your foot down a bit they stall up!

I have one in my turbo eb,its meant to be a 3000 but with the turbo's its 3500-3800 depending what gear its in.What brand is it ? mine a Jim Mock one with the lock up and its great but like sommers said you can drive it normally and wont notice the differance too...

ive been intrested in something like this too. it was my understanding you need a pretty good cam aswell inorder to get the revs to normal.... not too sure.

You really should provide all the engine and driveline specs plus a dyno sheet to someone like the converter shop. that way you'll get a converter that suits your car. other wise it's just pissing in the dark |
