I've got a Ford Capri with a 5.0Lw

gear ratio is 3.22, auto is C4

engine is n/a with ported heads, mild cam, Edelbrock EFi intake, 70mm TB, headers, exhaust. (alloy heads coming)

Trying to decide on a highstall and I've been offered one cheap, 2800rpm

What do you fellas think?
it's a street car that I want to run down the 1/4 now and then.

Personally I think 2800 could be a bit big if it is a mid cam. Usually the people making high stall convertors want to know the lift at 50 on your cam specs. to work out the correct size convertor for your motor. On second thoughts I could be wrong about it being to big, but I would ask someone from a convertor shop what he thinks.
