Hi All,
I hit a pothole on the front left the other night in the rain, now the ABS light is on permanently, and the brakes are soft and grinding a bit when slow ie in a roundabout stopping at light etc. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. (not that mechanical). cheers Owen

Jack up the car, remove the wheel and have a good look around. Something is obviously not right.
OR Take it to a brake specialist and get them to check it for you. BenJ

Disc may have come loose and not aligned properly to the calipers...so maybe the retaining nut came loose (or was loose) and has now allowed the disc to have horizontal movement.
I'd suggest taking it to a brake specialist to get it checked out if you don't know what you're looking for. If you want to have a look...as BenJ suggested.
