I have seen some extreamily lowered E-Series falcons. Mine is lowered and not causing an problems other than a slightly rougher ride due to stiffer suspension - as expected. Though I have heard that the following problem can arise............
Lowering the car too much - thus changing the angle of the tailshaft from diff back to gear-box - this angle is ever so small, but enough to cause the tail shaft to spin and hit the underside of the floor in the groove where the tailshaft fits into. Makes a grinding sounds appon accelaration or at higher speeds. I am wanting to lower my XR6 slightly more, but am concerned that this will happen to me. Then again I have seen some cronically lowered E-Series falcons and see them driving it hard and fast and dont see a problem. ADVICE/HELP? Thanks

How low you can legally will depend on state rules and regulations.
How low you can go will depend on how much work your willing to put it. Anyythings possiable but it might take a lot of effort, money and time... |

I have an EB with the full GT body kit on it that is super low. I have to crawl up and down kerbs and over speed bumps but have not noticed any other problems. Just keep in mind guard clearance espcially on the front when turning. My ride is a little sharp but it handles pretty well.

I've got Untra's or Super-Super Lows, whatever rubs your buddha.
I only ever have the tailshaft problem under full acceleration with a loaded car. But the car squats a fair bit, and accelrates reasonably hard, and is fairly low. I reckon you'd be fine going Super Lows. New shocks cant hurt, but they wouldn't be necessary on Low Springs. |

In WA, 100mm at the lowest point, diff or exhaust, otherwise its sticker time.
