Hi there,
iv got an ED XR6, and im looking at lowering it. Its a daily driver so ofcourse i dont want it thatc low that it will become a hassle. how low from the standard XR height do you guys suggest for this? or like which springs should i use?( e.g king lows, etc)

Cheers, (at the moment it only has a front xr lip, no side skirts or rear skirt)

i have superlow fronts and low rears (gas tank)

the rear is easy with everything speedhumps... you name it...

the front however, is a right prick, have to hit everything at 45' esp when reversing. i bottom out all over the place, even on some 100kph roads.

if you want easy to drive go lows, looks go supers.

but all that said, most people say the front of my car is very low for superlows.

Mate, with the XR lip, dont go superlows, i have supers on my ED, and f**k the lip, because of how low the front sits, so dont bother, as lows are XR height anyway but if ya want to lower it, pull the XR lip off and go supers

lows won't budge it much mate as they are pretty similar height to xr height. ed front spoiler profile is a fair bit diff to ef so i doubt if you'd have too many issues.

this is mine. superlows front, ultra rear.

Image

as you can see i have a std front bar so no issues for me but even with a lower one i would still rather go slow over a few bumps and have a good looking car.

btw superlows are 345mm from centre of hub to guard front and 350 0r 355 rear.

my rears are 340mm but have settled closer to 330 - 335mm.

im running king lows on my eb. i would like it to be lower coz it would look better. but i wouldnt go any lower coz i bottom out in carparks etc enough as it is! go over speed bumps and my exhaust scrapes if im not careful.

maybe it depends who does exhaust systems or something as i very rarely scrape mine. i do drive accordingly though over speed bumps and stuff though but don't have to go on silly angles or anything. just slow so the car doesn't bounce.

yeah it seems that superlows might be the way to go. I was thinking that i mite put the Sprint bodykit on my car. Which i already have on the front, but add the side skirts and the rear skirt which sits under the exhaust tip. What do ppl think, should i lower it or put the kit on instead? open to suggestions

in my opinion i think kits and lowering go together. kits on non lowered cars look retarded.
