How often do most of you service your auto box?
I do mine myself annually. Now I relise that I can only get out about 30% of the oil, but my theory is that most people do not service there boxs reguarly, the fact that I service mine (change some of the fluid and new filter and pan gasket) annually, means that mines getting looked after a lot better. At least doing it this way means that my oil is unlikely to be more than 3 years old. And it's dirt cheap and easy to do myself. |

about every 50,000km, but the way mine is whining, i suspect it wont last that long

yeah, im just waiting for the day mine dies..
Changes like its got a stage 15 shiftkit through it..

disconnect the lines to the transmission cooler, and pump fluid into the box at the same speed it pumps it out, that way when u get clean fluid out it has all been changed...

Mine is serviced every 20000km.
Now mine isnt treated nice : I drive full-manual, and up until 3 months ago had LPG injection so I drove full-throttle all the time, with manual downshifting etc etc. Box is now at 357000km, and never been rebuilt. Did have to replace S5 last time though. I thought the box was a gonner at 120000km. Actually has turned out to be nice and reliable. Cheers Nigel |

I service it every 10,000km but thats only coz im really worried about it going; its in good nick but i want it to stay that way.
Sounds often, but everytime it gets changed its all burnt n yuk anyway.. Come Jan/Service time I might get them to look at the bands n whatnot, want it smooth as possible like when I got it.

how much is a full flush for an EF worth? dont think mines ever had it done
