OK. So let me see if I've got this right. Sounds like not much has changed. Drain the diff by removing the bottom bolt on the flange and refill via a filler plug higher up on the driver's side of the flange. Last time I did this I used a piece of plastic tubing with a funnel on the end of it, threaded up through the wheel arch till I could access the funnel with the new oil. Long and slow, but it worked. As for the oil, it looks like a synthetic is recommended and I will need to check out this additive from Ford, mentioned by 93EB. Where can I go wrong!

You got it just check weather your diff is LSD or not as different oil is used

Brilliant!
After 35 years together, mine sort of expects that I know, how do everthing from brain surgery to ironing! And if I can't, then I have some explaining to do. But I wouldn't be without her. Who else is going to pass me the 32mm socket when I'm already under the car!

well as i said to my girl friend, there's only 3 things i can't do....give birth / breast feed & brain surgery...i'm working on the brain surgery----- just waiting for the cordless to recharge & a new subject to volunteer.......i'm still wondering what the main attraction is for my g/f to me.. :| is it my skills in the kitchen, able to build her a house, fix the cars or still tell her how wonderfull she is when she has PMS ( just after i take my valium)....tom

Not sure whether you have an LSD or not, but if an LSD don't use synthetic stuff (even if it is synthetic LSD oil).
