Hi all,

Someone has offered me a set of 3.9 gears, how can I be sure they are 3.9 ratio? They are BW gears but can I cound the teeth or something to be sure?

it should be stamped on the side on the crown wheel It might say 3.89 or 3.91. The 3.89 are out of the older skylines. 3.91's are the better of the two but either should be fine.

it will have it stamped onto the crown wheel or to be really sure , count the number of teeth on the crown wheel and divide by the number of teeth on the pinon gear , this will give you the true ratio ...
